Fun article. I ran across some of the same "myths" while researching my new book, OZmosis: The Enduring Appeal and Artistic Influence of The Wizard of Oz. It'll be out later this month.

Interesting that these myths still persist, and keep coming up again and again. Nobody fact checks these days! What I do find horrifying is what surfaced about the awful treatment of Judy Garland during filming. This used to be my favourite movie but now I can't watch it without feeling somewhat uncomfortable.

Well done. Another myth breaking triumph. In this world of so much misinformation about important topics, it’s a small victory for the truth here. Thank you.
